"Focusing", by Eugene Gendlin. 400,000 copies in print in ten languages. This is the original book that made Focusing available to the public. It breaks Focusing into six steps and has many examples. Many people give this little book to their friends as gifts. Therapists often keep copies in their waiting rooms to give to clients. This is a good beginning introduction to the process.

It will teach you how to focus. The second part is applications of focusing: to self-help, verbal and body-centered therapy, and meditation. Of particular note is the chapter on The Integration of Focusing with Other Body-Centered Interventions. I know of no other chapter of its kind.

Building A Focusing Community: Mutual Self-Help Through Peer Counseling, by Kathleen McGuire, Ph.D. This manual shows how to start Focusing Support Groups and Focusing Communities.
